Lew Robertson's Superbowl Party &
Creative Roundtable: Strategies for Breakthrough Advertising
A good month for beer and barbecue.

Lew
Robertson put on a stupendous Superbowl
Party, with top-rate barbecue and an enormous 8-foot
video screen (featuring a lifesize Janet Jackson!).
Lew knows all about food,
and now we do, too.
Later in the
month, we went to the Furama Hotel and had a
great time drinking happy-hour beers while trying
to hear over the happy-hour crowd. Our brave panelists:
Riney & Deutsch account alum Steve Morrissey,
Campbell & Ewald CD Neville Anderson, Millward
Brown's Eric Villain, RPA planner Patrick Early,
Roundtable chair Paul Elliston.

Creative Roundtable: Surviving as a Creative
A panel discussion on creative
living for staff creatives, freelancers, and agency principals.
Graciously hosted by The
Creative Group, this first LACC Creative Roundtable set
a high standard. Nice offices, nice spread, nice turnout. Colette
Brooks (Big
Imagination Group) told us what it's like to run your own
agency, Jillian Stern told us how to turn up the heat on your
freelancing, then Rosann Calisi from O&M and Matt Bogen
from Saatchi told us about getting in the door. Geoffrey Frankel
spoke about the Creative Group's approach to freelance work,
and Roundtable Chair Paul Elliston moderated.
